The change to the track layout allows the uses of a short circuit which is more appropriate for Electric cars.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Although the day's event didn't go quite as planned there was a fair amount of activity in the pit area displaying the&amp;nbsp; range of cars (and bikes) available, with demonstrations on the track as the&amp;nbsp; weather permited, ending up on a &amp;quot;race&amp;quot; of sorts under floodlights. (see photos from the event)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Entry is FREE for the day, visitors only pay for track time at &amp;pound;2 for the day&lt;br /&gt;
All children have to be accompanied and supervised by an adult.&lt;/p&gt;

With free practice on the Saturday and&amp;nbsp;4 rounds of qualifying plus the 5 finals on Sunday.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;The event won overall by top seed Mark Green with his Serpent 960 08.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;

The scouts brought their completed models to the meeting for inspection. The range of models produced was quite extensive and to a high standard. There was then a short talk on model motor car racing and the scouts showed their skills at controlling a radio controlled car around a make-shift track in their hall.
