RINDA HEDWIG

Rinda Hedwig (rinda@binus.edu) was born in Samarinda, East Borneo Prefecture of Indonesia on June 20th, 1973. She completed her undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Bina Nusantara University in 1997. In 1998, she joined the graduate program in Opto-Electrotechniques and Laser Applications, Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia. She got her doctorate degree under the guidance of the late Prof. Tjia May On, Prof. Kiichiro Kagawa and Dr. Koo Hendrik Kurniawan in 2002 with a cumlaude judicium. Currently, she is an Associate Professor and leader of Research Interest Group in Photonics and Computer System at Bina Nusantara University. She also works as a voluntary researcher for MMM.

Her main research topics are in computer engineering with several patents pending, and experimental studies on laser-induced plasma. She builds technologies for empowering the society around Indonesia islands. She has published more than 90 international journal papers with h-Index of 18 (Scopus, October 2022).
